UIDAI lets holders of Aadhaar cardsto change their address with no need for documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to alter their address even if they have not provided identification proof.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial feature which permits you to alter your Aadhaar card's address, without evidence of address.

UIDAI allows cardholders with Aadhaar cards to change their address and address without any documentation. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address, as long as they accept the authenticity for the verification of address. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative, landlord or family member who allows the Aadhaar card holder to make use of their address as proof.

UIDAI has stopped using this facility. UIDAI addressed an Aadhaar Card holder by tweeting that the capability to change the address on Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form is no longer available. UIDAI has requested to the Aadhaar issuer to notify users that they can change their address with another valid PoA document.

Dear Resident Dear Resident: The Service for Address Validation Letter service has been suspended until the end of time. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
